(M38) Albert Augustus Dangar (1840-1913) was born at "Neotsfield" near Singleton, N.S.W., the fourth son of Henry Dangar, surveyor and pastoralist.  As a boy he spent 3 years at sea; but in 1858 was placed at "Gostwyck" station, Uralla where he studied stock-breeding.  In 1863, he took over the management of "Gostwyck" and other Dangar properties.  A.A. Dangar was uniformly successful both as a stockbreeder and as a businessman.  He died at Baroona near Singleton, on 5th April, 1913.  |
