Scheef, Jacob Frederick (c. 1836 - 1904)

Born: c. 1836  Germany.  Died: 13 February 1904  Rocky River, New South Wales.

Jacob arrived in Australia on the Grasbrook in 1855 and headed for the goldfields of New England. In 1858 he married Christina Glock and they had 14 children.

Joseph was naturalised in 1863 and in the 1860s and 1870s he selected land of 1000 acres at Puddledock near Armidale. He also bought land at nearby Arding.
